| POM (Polyoxymethylene), commonly known as Acetal, is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic available in sheet and rod forms. This semi-crystalline material is characterized by its high strength, stiffness, and excellent impact resistance. POM exhibits low friction and outstanding wear resistance, making it ideal for moving parts in mechanical applications. It maintains good mechanical properties over a wide temperature range and has excellent fatigue resistance. The material shows good resistance to most organic solvents and chemicals, though it has poor resistance to strong acids and bases.
