| PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) sheet and rod are semi-crystalline thermoplastics valued for their high purity and weldability, excellent chemical resistance, and good mechanical properties. This material is a very pure polymer, typically containing no additives like ultraviolet stabilizers or lubricants, making it ideal for applications requiring cleanliness, such as in the semiconductor industry for ultra-pure water systems. PVDF exhibits good resistance to most chemicals and oxidizing agents, though it can be attacked by strong bases and certain concentrated solvents. It maintains high mechanical strength, stiffness, and offers good abrasion resistance. The material also features excellent resistance to ultraviolet light and weathering, ensuring long-term performance outdoor. With a continuous service temperature up to 150°C, it is also inherently flame-retardant (UL94 V-0). Its unique property of being an organic piezoelectric material also makes it suitable for some sensors and actuators. |
